Elizabeth Nelson teaches oboe, English horn, and reed-making. She recently moved back to Arizona after living in Boston, MA and the finger lakes region of New York State for 8 years. She has played with the Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra and Tri-Cities Opera. She holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts from Boston University, a performance diploma from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and a Master and Bachelor of Music from Brigham Young University. From 2008 to 2010 she was on the music faculty at Snow College. She has mentored young players in reed making, performance, and chamber music since 2007.
